Set of photographs of a visit to the mining town of Beringen for a conference on industrial archaeology. The photographs show a visit to a colliery, a mining museum, and photographs taken around the town of people, the town and the delegates for the conference. Attatched to these photographs are three others showing an old colliery in Beringen and the winding gear of a colliery in Waterschei (these are dated 1914 and 1922).

Photographs of Red Square and a procession in Red Square to celebrate 40 years since the Revolution. There are photographs of large crowds walking along Red Square with banners, some people dancing and two photographs of military vehicles. There is an aerial view of the procession, and a panoramic view taking in the procession, and the leaders on Lenin's Mausoleum. There is also a photograph of the leaders themselves (again this photograph looks like it has been altered).

Photograph of one side of a banner from Russia. The inscriptions say "Proletarians of all countries unite" "To the fighting British miners and the British miners wives from the working women of Krasnava Presna, Moscow June 3 1926" In the centre of the banner there is a woven hammer and sickle encircled by a sheaf of corn. It is predominantly gold and red.
