Contains : a copy of a report entitled "A Window for the Valleys", detailing the proposals for the venture, correspondence to and from various individuals and institutions regarding the proposed building of a centre in Aberfan to interpret and promote the South Wales Valleys; correspondence to and from institutions regarding the financing of the project, including the Wales Tourist Board, the South-East Wales Arts Association, the Welsh Development Agency, and the Commission of the European Communities; correspondence with the landowners, Mid Glamorgan County Council and Whitbread Wales Limited; messages of support from various institutions, including the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the National Coal Board, the Council of Churches in Wales, the Council of Social Service for Wales, and others. The file also contains subsequent correspondence regarding the refusal of grant applications and the ending of the project.

Contains correspondence, papers and advertising material from Roneo Vickers Limited regarding the purchase of printing equipment for the Ty Toronto project based work scheme.

MNC/TT/38/3 Ty Toronto: A Window for the Valleys' correspondence regarding arts and crafts.
Contains correspondence and papers on arts and crafts in the Valleys in relation to the building project, includes papers dealing with the possible budget for the centre, and a list of arts and crafts contacts within the Valleys. There are also a number of leaflets advertising arts and crafts in the Valleys.
