We always do our best to help family historians but very few of the documents in the collection give information about individuals unless they were prominent figures in an organisation.
If you are seeking general information about how to start tracing your family tree, the GENUKI web site is a good place to start, particularly if you are searching for UK ancestors from abroad.
If you wish to find out whether we have any information on an individual, you will need to provide us with some very specific information: their name, the trade union lodge or branch to which they belonged, the colliery in which they were employed and the period during which they were employed.
Unfortunately we are unable to undertake prolonged research on behalf of enquirers.
