Introduction to software product survey
The survey comprises a series of tables dealing with software covering the four main elements involved in the setup of a streaming service - see below.

Each element is divided into Cost, Documentation, Features, Formats, Platform and Types (where applicable).
The user can work with the tables in one of two ways.
1. Show available software options for specific platform
The user must make some simple decisions with regards to the particular platform they intend to use and what general area of the streaming process they are interested in pursuing. For example, to discover the options available for setting up an encoder on the Microsoft Windows platform you would go to the main page, choose 'Windows' from the dropdown list, and select the 'Encoders' radio button. Then click Submit to see the available software options.
2. Show all details for specific software solution
The user must specify a software solution from a dropdown list, or as the result of performing a search, and the full details for that solution, including cost, documentation, features, formats, platform and types (where applicable), will be displayed.
